CSM Constanța coordinates the European project PRISMA (“Promoting Resilience and Inclusion through Sport and Mental Aid”),
funded under the Erasmus+ / Sport Supports – Emergency Sport Actions for Youth program.
The project addresses young refugees and other vulnerable youth who frequently experience trauma, forced displacement, and social exclusion. Through PRISMA, they will benefit from structured recreational and therapeutic activities designed to support their integration into society.
PRISMA aims to develop replicable models and resources at the European level and will implement the following activities in Constanța:
- Grassroots team sports promoting social inclusion;
- Training coaches in mental health and cultural mediation;
- Psychological support to overcome trauma and build resilience;
- Inclusion of young people with disabilities in sports and community life;
- Cultural events and exchange programs, including refugee participation in “Ovidio Running”;
- Development of a PRISMA digital platform to coordinate activities and connect the local community.
The project consortium is coordinated by CSM Constanța and includes a well-balanced mix of partners:
- The Faculty of Physical Education and Sport of Ovidius University of Constanța;
- NOVAPOLIS Association – Center for Analysis and Development Initiatives, an NGO experienced in the social inclusion of young refugees;
- ECOS, a European organization focused on initiatives linking sport and mental health;
- ACS Arena Constanța, a sports entity working with young people with disabilities and promoting social inclusion.
Each partner contributes its specific expertise in areas such as educational integration, social support, cultural mediation, coach training in mental health, adapted sports, and international cultural events.
Project duration: July 2025 – December 2026.
